What Is Movember

When it comes to their health, too many men don’t talk, don’t take action, and die too young. So a group of people came up with Movember foundation and help men live happier, healthier, and long lives.

Movember is an annual event involving the growing of mustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.

The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health. The Foundation raises funds to deliver innovative, breakthrough support and research programs that enable men to live a happier life.

How Movember Works

During the month of November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of mustaches around the world. Movember challenges men to grow a mustache for the 30 days of November, thereby changing their appearance and the face of men’s health.

For the whole month of Movember, these selfless and generous men know as Mo Bros become walking, talking billboards for 30 days. Through their efforts, they raise awareness for the often ignored issues of men’s health, by prompting conversations wherever they go.

The biggest part of being a Mo Bro is to raise funds for men’s health. Men donate their face and, much like taking part in a run or a walk for charity, ask their family and friends to sponsor their efforts.

The biggest misconceived thing about Movember is it’s not just only for men. The women of Movember, are known as Mo Sistas. They play a major role in the success of Movember by supporting and encouraging the men in their life to get involved. They also get involved by signing up at, and participate by raising funds and awareness themselves. Essentially, they do everything that Mo Bros do, without the Mo.

Now, at the end of the month. Mo Bros and Mo Sistas celebrate their Movember Journey by throwing their own Movember parties or attending one of the official Gala Parties held around the world.

There’s nothing better than getting together with friends. Except for getting together with Friends to change the face of men’s health.

This Movember, any chance you can get together with friends is a chance to raise much-needed funds for men’s health.

Whatever way you like socializing qualifies as a Mo-Ment-a Movember-style gathering that encourages friends and family to donate. Do things your way and you can stop men from dying too young. If you’re interested in learning more then please click here: Movember Host.

Beard Grooming Tips For Movember

Beard grooming is never easy: These beard care tricks will keep your facial hair looking resplendent. After taking your notes, head on over to our understanding the stages of hair growth blog for more information.

Be Patient

A truly awesome beard is the product of self-restraint. When you first start growing out your beard, resist the urge to trim of style, and leave it untouched for the first 4-6 weeks. This allows the hair to grow in evenly, and help you pick a style that suits its length and thickness.

Know How to Trim

Invest in a good trimmer, and find the right technique to suit your master plan. Here is a tutorial on how to trim your beard at home.

Match Your Beard to Your Face Shape

A beard should be in-tune with its surrounding environment. Consult with this handy blog after the first month of growth, and choose a final style that complements your face shape. Your beard will look better, and so will you.

Washing Your Beard

This is one of the most important stages in early growth when trapped food and skin cells can exacerbate the itchiness. Scrub your beard several times each week with a specialized cleanser, like Scotch Porter Brand. You will not want to over dry your beard with your towel of it will lead to frizz and split ends.

Beard Oil

Nothing tames a beard like regular use of beard oil. There are so many varieties to choose from, in a range of manly scents, but all of them will condition hairs to make them softer and shinier.

Training Your Beard

Getting a regular trim will maintain your chosen shape, but that’s not the only way to keep your beard in line. When you comb or use a beard brush this will wrangle stubborn hairs, training them to grow in a downward direction.

Eating Healthy For Healthy Hair

You literally can’t build a house without bricks, and the same applies to facial hair. Your beard is made from protein and fat, but it’s also heavily reliant on Vitamins B5, B3, and B9. That means lean meats, nuts, egg yolks, milk, and plenty of leafy greens.

So make sure this Movember to find a Mo Bro, Mo Sista or team to get behind, or donate directly to the Movember Foundation.
